Before After

About treatment

As one of the leading treatments in the beauty industry, PhiBrows is a semi-permanent eyebrow drawing technique, basing the shape of the eyebrow on the facial morphology and the golden ratio (Phi 1.618).

Symmetry is calculated using the PhiApp, strokes are always drawn in the direction of natural hair growth and pigment is chosen according to the natural eyebrow and hair color, in order to achieve as natural look as possible.

This technique is intended for all persons over the age of 18, or may be performed on minors with compulsory parental consent who wish to correct any irregularities in their natural eyebrows or to change their shape (facial asymmetry).

PRE-TREATMENT CARE

For a successful outcome of the treatment, the skin must not be in the process of regeneration, i.e. must not be damaged. Prior to the treatment it is necessary to consult the Artist if you:

  • Have problematic skin,
  • Have any serious health issues,
  • Are on any medication,
  • Already have prior PMU.

In case of eczema, seborrheic dermatitis, acne or any other damage to the skin in the eyebrow region, it is recommended to use PhiTopic Cream 7 days before the treatment to eliminate these issues (order PhiTopic Cream in beauty salons where PhiBrows treatment is performed).

Avoid abrasive skin treatments such as peels, fruit acid peels, chemical peels, laser treatments and similar procedures at least 30 days before treatment. Also, Botox and fillers should be avoided one month before treatment.

TREATMENT

The treatment is performed using sterilized, disposable tools that create micro cuts on the skin while manually inserting pigment into the epidermis. The inserted pigment is much darker during the first 5-7 days, after which, the intensity of the color decreases by as much as 40%. The heeling process may last up to 28 days, after which, a new amount of pigment is added to the faded sections of the eyebrow. In case the skin is too oily or problematic, the process is repeated several times.

Pigment retention depends on skin oiliness. Higher concentration of oil in the skin reduces the duration of pigment. Perspiration and sun exposure affect pigments as well. Average pigmentation retention is 10-12 months. After this period, touch ups are required to refresh the color. If the skin is too oily, corrections are performed after 6 months.

POST TREATMENT CARE

The first step in the heeling process:

30 minutes after treatment, gently clean the eyebrows with PhiWipes. Clean the skin until there are no longer visible traces of pigment or lymph on the wipes. This way, surplus lymph is removed in order to prevent the formation of crusts, which have an adverse effect on the pigment. After cleaning the skin, apply cream prescribed according to skin type and lifestyle. Repeat this process 3-5 times a day. The PhiApp includes an alarm that can be set up to remind your client/you of when it is time to reapply the cream.

In case the treatment is performed in the afternoon and there is no time to repeat this process 3-5 times, once your client/you have cleaned and reapplied the cream before bed, apply the PhiPatch on each eyebrow and leave overnight.

It is not necessary to wash the eyebrows for the following 6 days because lymph will no longer appear. However, it is necessary to apply the cream 3-5 times per day during this period. Make sure your client/you keep the eyebrows dry when washing the face or taking a shower during this period.

Clients with extremely oily skin should apply the cream for one day only. After which, the client should stop applying any ointments or creams.

Since any change in the structure of the skin (creation of thin connective tissue) diminishes pigment retention, it is very important for the skin to heal properly. In order to achieve this, it is recommended to use Anti-Scar Gel for 7 days after treatment. Instructions for Gel use is located on the product packaging. In addition to Anti-Scar Gel, other products are also available:

  • Skin Candy Balm – a natural balm, specially designed for PhiBrows post-treatment care. This product provides the skin with moisture and protection against external effects such as dust, perspiration, etc.
  • Skin Candy Anti-Shock – toned cream for PhiBrows post-treatment care. This product camouflages redness and very dark pigment after treatment, which may shock the client due to the large difference in color between the natural and the new eyebrows. This cream is available in two basic shades and serves to fade the pigment, giving the skin a look of full recovery.
  • Skin Candy Sun&Sweat Protection – a post-treatment care cream, suitable for clients who are exposed to sunlight or perspire excessively. It is recommended for clients who are active or plan to expose themselves to the sun immediately after treatment.

The successful outcome of the treatment also depends on the following:

  • Skin quality
  • Post- treatment care
  • Exposure to various external factors

Artists have no control over any of the three factors listed above and therefore cannot guarantee the desired outcome of the treatment.

Proper post-treatment care accounts for 70% of the success of the treatment. It is essential to adhere to the advice provided regarding eyebrow care until the skin has fully recovered. Otherwise, up to 80% of the drawn hair may be lost. It is important that your client/you wash your face and apply the gel regularly.

During the first 7 days, avoid applying any cream (except sun block), makeup (powder or foundation) in the eyebrow area. Also, avoid exercises which cause excessing perspiration, saunas, facial massages and inhalation.

In the next 30 days, your client/you must avoid the following:

  • sunbathing,
  • tanning salons,
  • light (laser) therapy,
  • chemical peels,
  • fruit acid peels,
  • microdermabrasion,
  • any creams that have rejuvenating effects.

Always apply sun block to protect the eyebrows from the sun (except during the first 7 days).

During the healing process, your client/you must avoid laser treatments in the treated area (fraction laser, IPL) since lasers may destroy pigment and cause inflammation. Pigment may fade faster if your client/you is/are on antibiotics or taking hormones.
